Mindfulness for Kids

♥ What is mindfulness? ♥
Mindfulness is to live in the present moment rather than thinking about the past or worrying about the future. Through breathing exercises and meditation we become more aware of our feelings and thoughts without judgment while learning to observe everything that is happening around us. Observing our emotions and our thoughts leads to increased clarity, stability and attention, as well as reduced stress.

♥ The benefits of the practice of mindfulness in kids ♥
👉 Increased connectivity of the prefrontal cortex of the brain, which is associated with attention, memory processing and decision making.
👉 Increased empathy, which is the ability to understand what another person feels or thinks.
👉 Increased self-awareness, social confidence and social awareness.
👉 Reduced fear and anger.
👉 Reduced depression, anxiety and ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder).
